ערב הרצאות לקהל הרחב במסגרת אירועי "עושים אמנות - אוהבים אמנות"
"לפקולטה לאמנויות, לחוג לתולדות האמנות ולמרצים בו זו הזדמנות ליצור דיאלוג עם קהל רחב מחוץ לקמפוס בערב עממי ופתוח לציבור", מסביר ד"ר אסף פינקוס, מן המרצים הבולטים בחוג, ומתאם הערב מטעם החוג, את ההיענות החיובית והמהירה של החוג והמרצים ליוזמה זו.
ארבע הרצאות יינשאו בערב ולקהל תהיה הזדמנות לשאול ולהגיב:
ד"ר ספי הנדלר ירצה על "המאהבת של ברניני: אמנות ואלימות ברומא של הבארוק".

במקום בד ציור-אולי מקרר. תערוכה מיוחדת של מקררים מצוירים במסגרת פרוייקט למען ילדי וראייטי. התערוכה תיערך במתחם התחנה המרכזית החדשה בתל-אביב. היצירות הינן תרומה של חברת ברימאג ושלל אמנים: אורי ליפשיץ, ערן שקין, יובל שאול, ציבי גבע, דודו גרשטיין, דני בק, קרן שפילשר ועוד.
A special exhibition of painted refrigerators by many Israeli artists as part of a project for the Variety children. Shown on the compound of the new Central Bus Station in Tel-Aviv.

This group of paintings, created in the mid- 1980s, embodies all the
qualities integral to the art of David Gerstein from its beginnings until the present – a curiosity about how people behave, their conduct in their daily life, their weaknesses; and his great ability to depict them, in a strong artistic language rich in reality and warm humor, empathy, and compassion.
This is a continuation of the 1979 series of people taking their ease on the peeling balconies of old Tel Aviv. Those balcony paintings were,
at the time, the recognizable “trademark” of Gerstein, confirming his
specific locus on the map of local art. In the series presented here, says Gerstein, the loungers on the balconies have moved down to the Dead Sea and populate its shores, smeared with mud, exposing their pink bodies to the rays of the sun and the salt, frying slowly.
